In the majority of nations around the world, video conferencing hasn’t been working.
Zoom provides a comparison of the volume of problem complaints received over the last 24 hours by time of day with the usual volume. Various issues are frequently brought up throughout the day. Only when there are significantly more problem reports than usual at that time of day does Downdetector report an occurrence.
The video conferencing software has not yet responded to the concerns in a formal manner.
Users of Zoom address the problem. Can’t join Zoom, receiving “An unknown erros happened,” was one of the comments. “Cannot log into Zoom gateway issues,” a different zoom user commented.
Prior to now, Zoom updated their Mac platform application. With the most recent patch, a serious security gap that may have allowed hackers complete access to a Mac user’s system is been closed.
According to a study on the well-known cloud-based video conferencing service, a significant security flaw had to be addressed that allowed someone with malicious intent to gain root-level access to users’ Mac systems.
As a result, the hackers would be able to seize control of their systems. This vulnerability appears to have been caused by the Zoom application’s auto-updater programme, which had root-level access to the system.
AdvertisementI think @zoom might be down. Can't login to website. My client updated but meetings have disappeared. Ugh. What's happening?
