PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry claimed that the country has “officially turned into a banana republic” after the barring of Imran Khan’s speeches on channels and YouTube.
Pakistan is now officially turned into a Banana republic all channels banned to telecast @ImranKhanPTI speech and PTA has blocked @YouTube in Pakistan

The move was also criticised by other Twitter users.
An absolute and utter disgrace that @YouTube has been blocked in Pakistan.
Imran Khan is a train wreck. But this censorship is worse than Imran Khan.
With all the unnecessary attention on this nonsense, imagine how flood victims feel.

Youtube is again blocked by the Government as Imran Khan is addressing a jalsa. This is real insecurity coupled with shades of oppression. Unacceptable in democracy. PDM should address this or be counted as an undemocratic alliance. #YouTubeDOWN in Pakistan.
