After Friday prayers, the nation is encouraged to participate in peaceful protests to express their outrage over the Holy Quran’s desecration in Sweden, according to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. This declaration is being made as the country observes Quran Sanctity Day to denounce the disrespectful treatment of the holy book.
The nation must stand together to defend the sacredness of the Quran, the prime minister emphasized, despite the intense resentment that exists within the Muslim community. He emphasized the importance of the Quran as a moral code for people’s lives.
These protests will be attended by people from various backgrounds to show their opposition to the desecration. The Prime Minister also spoke to the Parliament, pleading with Islamic nations to strongly condemn such incidents on global stages, such as the United Nations.
In order to organize a meeting where representatives from all Islamic nations can voice the opinions of the Muslim community, he plans to get in touch with the UN Secretary-General. The Parliament has passed a resolution denouncing these actions and recommending steps to stop disrespect for sacred texts and historical figures.
