Yamaha has raised bike prices for the first time in 2023. As usual, there is no reason because bike prices are unwilling to provide one. The likely cause is the recently implemented 18% General Sales Tax. The previous GST rate was 17.7%.
New Yamaha Bike Prices
- Yamaha YB125Z (Red/Black) price has seen a jump of Rs. 3,000, and now it will cost Rs. 308,500 compared to the old rate of Rs. 305,500.
- The new price of the company’s second bike, Yamaha YB125Z-DX (Red/Blue/Black), is Rs. 330,500 compared to Rs. 327,000. Meaning the price has been increased by Rs. 3,500.
- And the third one is the Yamaha YBR 125 (Red/Blue/Black), which has observed a jump of Rs. 3,500, taking the price to Rs. 339,500 against the previous Rs. 336,000.

- The new price of Yamaha YBR125G (Matt Dark Gray) is Rs. 356,000 against the old rate of Rs. 352,500. So, now you must pay an extra amount of Rs. 3,500.
Yamaha Pakistan imports parts such as engines, so its rate is directly related to the dollar rate. The company raised the prices seven times last year.
Whatever the case may be, companies, particularly bike companies, must share the reasons for bike price increases so that consumers understand why the bikes are so expensive. We had hoped for a more stable 2023 for the auto industry, but it appears that the situation will remain somewhat unchanged. Import restrictions remain in place, LCs are not being issued, and the country is in the grip of a severe economic crisis. Along with other industries, the auto industry is feeling the effects of the crisis, which has a direct impact on consumers and their purchasing power.
