Following its Chinese debut in December, the Redmi Note 12 5G went global in January. A 4G variant of the same device appears to be on the way. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 4G, the upcoming addition to the lineup, will feature a different SoC under the hood, and we’ve been hearing a lot about it on the internet.
The Redmi Note 12 4G, model number 23021RAAEG, was first discovered on the IMEI Database. It was soon listed on NBTC, TDRA, IMDA, and FCC links. Multiple certification listings indicate that the device will be released globally, beginning with Singapore, Thailand, and the United States.
The only thing that all of their documents have in common is the model number “23021RAAEG,” and there are no notable details about the phone on any of them. According to the FCC, the Note 12 4G has two memory configurations: the entry-level 6+128GB and the slightly higher-end 128GB with 8GB RAM.
According to rumours, the Note 12 4G will support Android 13 x MIUI 14 and will have a 4+64GB memory configuration. It’s difficult to predict what kind of CPU the 4G variant will have. According to the rumour verse, the Helio G99 processor is the most likely choice for the Xiaomi Note new model. Compared to the Note 12 5G’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 SoC, the G99 has faster clock speeds and better GPU performance.
We’ll have to wait for confirmation from more sources to see if the Redmi Note 12 4G has the Helio G99. The upcoming variant should have the same specs as the original, including an AMOLED screen, 120Hz refresh, a triple camera 48MP + 8MP + 2MP setup, a 13MP selfie unit, a side-mounted fingerprint reader, a 5000mAh cell, and 33 Watt fast charging. If you’re in a hurry and don’t want to wait any longer, its ancestor from the previous year is readily available in the market. In Pakistan, the Xiaomi Redmi 128GB Note 11 starts at Rs. 54,999.
