The launch of the Xiaomi Civi 3 is scheduled for May 25 in China, according to the company. The Xiaomi Civi 2, which was released in September of last year, will be replaced by the new Civi series smartphone. The Xiaomi Civi 3 is rumored to have a dual-tone design and a rear camera module with a circular shape. It will undoubtedly come in the colors Adventure Gold, Coconut Grey, Mint Green, and Rose Purple. A 50-megapixel main camera is part of the triple rear camera system on the Xiaomi Civi 3. The MediaTek Dimensity 8200 SoC will also power the device.
Xiaomi released a number of teaser pictures on Weibo to reveal the Civi 3 launch date. On May 25, the event is scheduled to start at 2:00 pm local time (11:00 am PST).
The teasers, which were created in collaboration with WGSN, depict the Xiaomi Civi 3 in four different color schemes: Adventure Gold, Coconut Grey, Mint Green, and Rose Purple. The posters propose a triple rear camera setup, with the handset’s main camera being a 50-megapixel camera that supports optical image stabilization (OIS). It is displayed with a circular camera module and a dual-tone design.
Additionally, Xiaomi affirmed that a MediaTek Dimensity 8200 SoC will power the Xiaomi Civi 3. There are still some unanswered questions regarding the device.
According to a previous leak, the Xiaomi Civi 3 will have a 6.55-inch full-HD+ AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. It is said to have 512GB of onboard storage and 12GB of RAM. Two 32-megapixel front-facing cameras with a 100-degree field of view are anticipated to be present on the device. A 4,500mAh battery with 67W fast charging capabilities may be included.
The 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model of the Xiaomi Civi 2 had a starting price of CNY 2,399 when it was introduced in China in September of last year. Outside of China, it has not yet been launched.
