A few facts have been officially confirmed by the company. Leica-tuned cameras will undoubtedly be found on the upcoming Xiaomi 13 series device, which is anticipated to replace the Xiaomi 12S Ultra. The quad rear camera system of the Xiaomi 13 Ultra device will use certain types of sensors, according to the Beijing-based phone manufacturing firm that has now confirmed this.
Xiaomi has confirmed that the Xiaomi 13 Ultra’s quad rear camera setup will consist of three 50-megapixel Sony IMX858 sensors and one 50-megapixel Sony IMX989 sensor. The poster mentioned that the smartphone’s cameras will also feature improved HDR features and upgraded noise reduction technologies.
The company and Leica have already stated that the Xiaomi 13 Ultra will come with the “most exceptional Leica Summicron lens.” The spherical optical design of the Leica Summicron lens is said to aid in “perfect imaging and excellent contrasts.”
According to earlier rumors, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, along with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage, will power the Xiaomi 13 Ultra. A 6.7-inch WQHD+ AMOLED LTPO display with a refresh rate of 120Hz is anticipated for the device.
A 32-megapixel front camera is also anticipated to be included with the smartphone. According to reports, MIUI 14 based on Android 13 comes pre-installed on the Xiaomi 13 Ultra. A 4,900mAh battery with 90W fast charging support is probably included.
Earlier this year, Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro were released. The base model’s triple rear camera setup consists of a 12-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, a 10-megapixel secondary sensor, and a 50-megapixel primary sensor. The 50-megapixel Sony IMX989 primary sensor, 50-megapixel floating telephoto sensor, and 50-megapixel wide-angle sensor are all included in the Pro model.
