Online leaks include renderings of the Xiaomi 13 Ultra. It is confirmed that the upcoming Xiaomi flagship smartphone will make its global debut soon. The Xiaomi 13 Ultra will debut in China later this month, according to Xiaomi. However, the company did not provide any additional information or a launch date other than the camera on the Xiaomi 13 Ultra has Leica-tuned lenses. Xiaomi is anticipated to provide more information soon. Prior to the official launch, a new report has, however, exposed purported Xiaomi 13 Ultra design renderings. The pictures imply that the Xiaomi 13 Ultra will experience significant design changes.
The Xiaomi 13 Ultra is seen to have a sizable circular module on the rear panel in the images shared by SmartPrix in association with tipper OnLeaks. The module appears to contain a dual-LED flash system and a quadruple-camera setup. Despite being thick, the camera module can be seen resting on top of a raised rear panel, giving the upper part of the device a dual-step appearance. In the lower half of the rear panel, the protrusion becomes less pronounced.
According to the leaked renders, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra might have a flat frame design with rounded corners. In order to improve grip and in-hand feel, the rear panel is also seen to be curved toward the edges. Additionally, the report claims that the phone’s white color option has a faux leather back panel.
The Xiaomi 13 Ultra has a hole-punch cutout at the top of its curved AMOLED display on the front. The phone has a 6.7-inch 120Hz panel, according to the report. The power and volume buttons are visible on the right side. The main speaker grille, a SIM card slot, and a USB Type-C port are all visible on the bottom edge.
According to the report, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra will have dimensions of 163.18 x 74.6 x 9.57 millimeters. The thickness of the phone, including the protrusion from the camera module, is estimated to be 15.61mm.
Recently, additional information about the phone has also leaked. According to reports, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC in the Xiaomi 13 Ultra supports up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. A 4,900mAh battery is also said to be included in the phone. Additionally, 50W wireless charging and 90W wired fast charging may be supported.
A 50-megapixel Sony IMX989 1-inch main camera, which is also present in the Xiaomi 13 Pro, is most likely to be found in the rear camera module. (Review). Additionally, two 50-megapixel telephoto sensors and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens are rumored to be included. The phone is rumored to have a 32-megapixel front camera for selfies.
A WQHD+ AMOLED display with support for dynamic refresh rate switching between 1Hz and 120Hz is expected to be included in Xiaomi’s newest flagship. Last but not least, MIUI 14 on Android 13 could be launched by default on the Xiaomi 13 Ultra.
