Investigators discover a black box buried eight feet in the earth at the collision site of the Philadelphia plane tragedy, where a patient, eleven, and other people were identified.

Authorities have made a startling finding regarding the jet’s black box, revealing the identities of the young child and five other people who perished when their plane crashed into a Philadelphia neighborhood just moments after takeoff on Friday night.

The company running the medical transport flight, Jet Rescue Air, told CBS News that co-pilot Josue de Jesus Juarez Juarez, Dr. Raul Meza Arredondo, paramedic Rodrigo Lopez Padilla, and her mother, Valentina Guzman Murillo, 11, her mother, Lizeth Murillo Ozuna, 31, and Capt. Alan Alejandro Montoya Perales, all perished in the crash of the Learjet 55 headed for Mexico.

“I regret the death of six Mexicans in the plane crash in Philadelphia. The consular authorities are in permanent contact with the families,” Claudia Sheinbaum wrote on X Saturday morning.

Debris from the Learjet 55 disaster blasted onto the area, killing the sixth person inside a car. The identity of this victim is still unknown.

At a press conference on Sunday, Philadelphia Mayor Cherelle Parker reported that 22 individuals were hurt in the incident and that five are still in the hospital.

She disclosed that at least 11 residences and a few businesses had also sustained serious damage.

Regarding the departed victims, Parker stated, “Our city is still grieving their loss and they are in our thoughts and prayers.”

According to NBC10, National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) investigators reported that they had found the black box eight feet below the collision site.

Additionally recovered is the aircraft’s enhanced ground proximity warning system (EGPWS).

Critical flight data may be included in the black box and EGPWS, which will be transferred to Washington, DC, for assessment.

With support from the Federal Aviation Administration and other regional organizations, the NTSB is spearheading the crash investigation.
Parker went on to say that officials were asking neighbors for information by going door-to-door.
