In advance of the 2023 ODI World Cup in India, Australian all-rounder Mitchell Marsh made a bold prediction that is generating a lot of rumors and excitement.
In a YouTube video with former England captain Michael Vaughan and legendary Australian wicket-keeper batsman Adam Gilchrist, Marsh made the audacious claim that he thinks Pakistan and Australia will face off in the ODI World Cup 2023 championship match.

The ODI rankings’ present state makes Marsh’s prediction particularly compelling. Australia is currently in second place, closely followed by Pakistan, who currently holds the top spot.
The two teams are vying for the top spot, with Australia having the chance to pass Pakistan if they defeat South Africa in their next ODI match and Pakistan having the chance to stay on top if they defeat India in the highly anticipated Super 4s match at the Asia Cup on September 10.
The cricketing world is on a high as the 2023 ODI World Cup, which will begin on October 5 with an explosive opening match between England and New Zealand, is only a few weeks away. This opening match is a rematch of the memorable 2019 World Cup championship game, in which England defeated New Zealand in a thrilling super over decided by the boundary count rule.
