The final 15-man roster for the upcoming ODI World Cup, which will begin on October 5 in India, was unveiled by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
KL Rahul’s name appears on the list of the 15-member squad according to the announced lineup, but Sanju Samson was left off. The Men in Blue will be led by Rohit Sharma in the competition.
The World Cup roster omitted both Tilak Varma and Prasidh Krishna, who are currently competing for India in the ongoing Asia Cup 2023 in Sri Lanka.
Yuzvendra Chahal and Ravichandran Ashwin, two seasoned spinners, did not make the Indian mega squad announced by Ajit Agarkar.
According to a media report, the absence of these prominent performers has drawn attention, especially in light of their consistent contributions throughout the current season.
