Who was Luke Harper, a.k.a. Jon Huber?
Luke Harper, Jonathan Huber’s stage name, was a well-liked professional wrestler. On December 16, 1979, he was born in Rochester, New York.
When Jon made his professional debut with WWE in May 2012, it marked the beginning of his career in sports entertainment.
He did, however, leave the ring in 2019 to seek greener pastures. Fans alleged that the company failed to “take advantage of his full potential” and that this led to the decision.
Then, until his passing in 2020, he appeared on stage for AEW.

Jonathan Huber was the real name of the former superstar. But as soon as he entered the ring, he started going by new names.
After joining the evil Wyatt family in WWE, he became known as Luke Harper at the beginning of his wrestling career.
In order to give his career a new boost, he quit the organization in 2019 and joined rival sports entertainment company AEW.
Later, he adopted the name Brodie Lee.
When did Jon Huber pass away?
In December 2020, Jon Huber tragically passed away. In a statement shared on social media, All Elite Wrestling expressed sympathy to Huber’s family and described the community as “heartbroken.”
In the statement, it was stated that Jon Huber was “a fierce and captivating talent who was exceptionally respected and loved in every way in an industry full of good people.”
His passing was described as “truly heartbreaking” by WWE commentator Mihir Joshi, and ESPN editor Tim Fiorvanti noted his influence even after his death.
Other tributes to the deceased wrestler poured in, with Braun Strowman among them. He wrote: “I’m at a loss for words!!!!!”
What caused Jon Huber’s death?
Sadly, the 41-year-old passed away after a protracted battle with a lung condition. His wife, Amanda Huber, broke the heartbreaking news in a social media post.
“My best friend died today,” she wrote on Instagram. “I never intended to put those words in writing. My heart is shattered.”
In the words of Huber, her husband “passed surrounded by loved ones after a hard-fought battle with a non-Covid related lung issue.”

Although Jon Huber was well-known for the characters he played in the live battles, fewer people were aware of his private life.
He was wed to Amanda Huber, a former wrestler who went by the ring name Synndy Synn.
The couple got married in 2008.
Brodie, who was born in January 2012, and Nolan, who was born in December 2017, were the couple’s two children.
The widow worked for AEW as a member of their Community Outreach Team as a way to carry on her husband’s legacy.

An American professional wrestling team called The Wyatt Family competed in WWE.
Luke Harper, Bray Wyatt, and Erick Rowan founded it in the beginning.
Bray Wyatt, who passed away in August 2023, was one of the group’s two unfortunate losses.
The group first gained fame in 2012 and established itself as a mainstay in the WWE universe.
