The identify of the 23-year-old woman who was discovered dead in an Etobicoke apartment early on Wednesday has finally been made public by homicide investigators.
Around 4:30 in the morning, according to Toronto Police, Viyaleta Lukoshka was discovered shot to death in a highrise at 251 Manitoba St., close to Park Lawn Rd. and the Gardiner Expressway.
In order to notify the victim’s relatives, police first suppressed the victim’s identity. The victim is not well-known, and there is little evidence of her online.
Residents allegedly heard a heated altercation followed by a loud bang, according to investigators. The security team of the building looked into it and found Lukoshka battling for her life.
Despite the brave attempts of the first responders to save her life, Lukoshka was declared dead at the spot.
A guy was observed leaving the structure.
A short while afterwards, a suspect was captured.
Police claim that the accused and victim are acquainted, but they did not elaborate on their relationship.
The second-degree murder accusation against Kadeem Robinson, 34, relates to the shooting death of Lukoshka.

Homicides have decreased by around 40% so far this year, and the clearance rate is more than 80%.
