A 7-year-old boy from Harris County, Texas Troy Khoeler was discovered dead in a washing machine at his house on Thursday, July 28 after being reported missing for many hours. Authorities claim that at around 7:20 am, Troy Khoeler’s body was found inside a top-load washing machine in the garage of his family’s home in Spring, Texas, a suburb of Houston.
According to Lt. Robert Minchew of the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, the boy’s adoptive parents had called 911 two hours before to the incident to report him missing. The missing youngster was mentioned on Twitter by the Harris County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office as well. “AT THIS TIME – MISSING 7-YEAR-OLD BOY – Rosegate Drive, 4400 Block, Birnamwood Subdivision – Troy Khoeler. He had a little afro hairstyle and was last seen sporting blue jeans and a shirt.

The Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine Khoeler’s cause of death, according to Minchew. Officials were unable to determine whether there was foul play or if he entered the machine on his own. However, the officer asserted that the boy was dressed when found. Minchew said, “We don’t know what happened, but we plan to find out.” He then told the media, “Whether he was killed by the washing machine or killed and put in it, I can’t tell because we’re just so far away.” Khoeler’s disappearance was reported to police around 5:20 am, although according to Minchew, he may have been gone since 4 am. Cops were questioning the parents when they made the decision to search the house since they couldn’t find any signs that a window or door had been left open.
Who was Troy Khoeler?
In 2019, the couple adopted Troy, who had previously been in foster care. According to Minchew, the detectives were able to find “not a lot of history” of calls coming from the house. Troy’s enrollment in the Spring ISD was verified. He was described as a bright, active student who will be missed by one of his previous professors.

The case is currently being looked into by the Harris County Pct. 4 Constable’s Office and Harris County Sheriff’s Office. Our district has suffered a huge loss as a result of his passing, and the affected children and employees are receiving continuous counselling and support services.
When KHOU11 reporter Matt Dougherty questioned the adoptive father of the seven-year-old child about the terrible situation, the father stated that when he arrived home the previous night, his front door was unlocked and his son was missing.

You will spend all of eternity with our father, GOD, with no more anguish or pain.” One more person wrote, “My entire being hurts. I have prayed for this little kid. tears flowing Father God, please be with all of his family and loved ones during this difficult time. In the name of Jesus, Amen.”
