The first person killed by serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer was STEVEN HICKS.
Between 1978 and 1991, American serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer raped, killed, dismembered, and occasionally consumed 17 men and boys.
Who was Steven Hicks?
Steven Hicks, who was 18 years old and fresh out of the United States’ Coventry High School, was killed in June 1978.
He was remembered by those who knew him as a nice and sympathetic person who loved to lend a hand and was always up for meeting new acquaintances.
How Steven Hicks was Killed?
Three weeks after graduating in 1978, Dahmer committed his first murder.
When Steven Hicks was hitchhiking to meet his buddies at an Ohio rock performance, he scooped Steven up.
With the promise of a few beers and a trip to the performance, Dahmer then persuaded Steven to return to his father’s home.
In the Netflix documentary Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, the two are shown working out together while drinking beer, but when the time comes for Steven to meet his friends, Jeffrey refuses to let him go.
As Jeffrey’s actions become increasingly unsettling, Steven makes the decision to leave.
Then, in a fit of rage, Dahmer strikes Steven with a dumbbell before strangling him with the handle.
Then, in the basement of his parent’s house, Dahmer dissects Steven’s body before interring his remains in the garden.
The bones are crushed with a sledgehammer and then reburied in his lawn many weeks later after the body has been dug out and disintegrated in acid.
After Steven Hicks’ passing, numerous further victims would occur.
