According to WCAX, Vermont State Police are looking into the death of a man that occurred during a brawl at a middle school basketball game on Tuesday.
Alburgh and St. Albans were playing in a boys’ basketball game between the 7th and 8th grades at the Alburgh Community Education Center, according to the police.
On the basketball court, multiple people can be seen being attacked, shoved, and punched in video of the purported incident.
According to police, 60-year-old Russell Giroux requested to be taken to the hospital, where he was later declared dead.
The medical examiner’s office will examine Giroux’s body to ascertain how and why he died.
