According to the Oklahoma City police, a 28-year-old man named Ruben Armendariz shot and killed his estranged wife, three young children, and himself on Wednesday.
The 28-year-old man shot and killed his 29-year-old wife Cassie Flores at her Oklahoma City home. He then shot their three children, Hillary, age 9, Damaris, age 5, and Matis, age two. After the massacre, which allegedly occurred at 11 p.m., the man eventually shot himself.
Ruben Armendariz: Who was he?
The age of Ruben Armendariz was 28. His wife was Cassie Flores. However, the couple split up.
First responders rushed to the scene after the incident was reported and discovered five injured people. Armendariz and one of the children were hastily transported to the hospital where they were tragically pronounced dead. It’s still unclear, however, whether Armendariz was residing with his estranged family at the time of the tragedy.
Police confirmed that there was no record of them intervening in any domestic disputes at the home prior to the terrible incident.
The only prior offense in Armendariz’s history was a traffic infraction from 2020 in which he was found guilty of driving without a license.
The unfortunate killings’ circumstances are being carefully investigated by authorities. In a formal statement, they said that “this investigation is still in its early stages. Our investigators are painstakingly reconstructing the sequence of events that resulted in this unfortunate catastrophe.
Numerous tributes have been sent to the mother and her three children. The family has expressed their pain and described the situation as a “nightmare.”
Rocio, the sister of Cassie Flores, shared pictures of her loved ones on social media along with the sincere caption, “I can’t believe this. My sister and my infants. It feels like a nightmare now that they are all gone. I’m so overcome with guilt for not having the chance to say goodbye to them. We can always count on God to be by our sides. Fly high my babies, fly high my lovely angels,” a source reported.
