Although nothing is known about Lucidi’s life, he was better known as Remi Enigma.
He gained a social media following by posting tense footage of his complex stunts on Instagram.
He was also a strong admirer of extreme sports.
Lucidi shared a photo of the Hong Kong skyline on Instagram shortly before his death.
What was Remi Lucidi known for?
Lucidi was well-known for scaling high-rise structures all around the world, including Portugal, Bulgaria, Colombia, France, Dubai, and Poland.
He allegedly began climbing skyscrapers in 2016.
Since then, the stuntman has traveled the world, attempting various stunts.
On July 16, he posted a selfie to his Instagram profile showing himself dangling off the stairs at the top of a building in Gabrovro, Bulgaria.
The post was captioned: “Life is too short to chase unicorns.”
How did Remi Lucidi die?
In July 2023, the Frenchman died after falling from the top floor penthouse of Hong Kong’s Tregunter Tower.
During a stunt, he fell 721 feet from the 68-story structure and was pronounced dead at the spot by authorities.
Lucidi arrived at the tower on Thursday evening, telling a security guard he was there to see a buddy.
According to the South China Morning Post, the resident eventually denied knowing Lucidi, starting a search for the thrill-seeker.
A security guard allegedly tried to stop him, but he had already reached the top floor.
According to CCTV evidence, Lucidi rode the lift to the 49th floor before walking the stairs to the top.
He was last seen knocking on the building’s windows, pleading with a maid for assistance, before falling to his death.
Security agents hunting for Remi later discovered an open hatch to the roof.
According to a source, the stuntman was stranded outside the penthouse and was begging for help shortly before his death.
Cops discovered the man’s camera, which featured videos of his prior risky actions, at the scene.
Gurjit Kaur, the hostel’s owner where Lucidi was staying, described him as a “friendly and humble guy.”
He said: “He was healthy and fit and happy-faced. I feel very sad.”
While a worker who claimed he had spoken to Lucidi said: “He told me he was going to hike a mountain when I asked where he was going.
“He said he wanted to hike a lot when he was here.”
An official cause of death has not yet been recorded.
