Pentecostal minister and author Pastor Jack Hayford was well-known for his work in both fields.
His faith in a higher power was first ignited when he was a little child and miraculously recovered from a serious illness.
Although the exact nature of his ailment is unknown, his biography claims that the doctors could find no other reason for his recovery but God’s favour.
He also overcame a polio diagnosis years later.
He eventually became a pastor as a result of these healings, and since then, he has done everything in his power to proclaim the gospel.
He founded The King’s University in Southlake, Texas, and served as its chancellor in addition to being the founding pastor of The Church On The Way.
According to his biography, Hayford wrote more than 50 novels as well as 500 hymns and choruses before he passed away.

He was married to Anna Hayford for more than 60 years when she passed away on March 8, 2017.
After Anne passed away, he wed Valarie Hayford.
According to CBN News, Hayford was survived by his second wife, four daughters, 11 grandchildren, and a number of great-grandchildren.
