Who was Maggie Murdaugh?
Margaret “Maggie” Branstetter Murdaugh was a wonderful mother to her two sons, Paul and Buster.
She grew up in a traditional Southern family and later married Alex Murdaugh, one of South Carolina’s wealthiest men.
“Maggie lived for her kids,” Bubba Mixson, a Murdaugh family friend, told the New York Post.
“She was at every school function. She was such a sweet person. She never met a stranger. I can’t say enough good about her. and I mean that.”
Following high school, she attended the University of South Carolina, where she met her husband.
