In a complex scheme to make it appear as though she had died, a German lady is accused of killing a lookalike she discovered on Instagram.
Investigators claim that the beauty blogger Khadidja O., also 23, was assassinated in Ingolstadt, Germany, last August by an individual only known as Sharaban K., 23.
The body of Khadidja O., who had suffered more than 50 savage stabbings, was found on the back seat of Sharaban K.’s Mercedes. Following that, Sharaban K. and a companion—her boyfriend Sheqir K.—went into hiding.
Police identified Sharaban K.’s family from the car’s registration when the body was discovered. Investigators concluded she was the victim since the corpse was deformed.

Sharaban K. was arrested this week and charged with murder. According to the prosecution, she searched Instagram for a victim with a similar physical description.
“It has been confirmed that the accused had contacted several women via Instagram before the act who seemed to look similar to her,” Attorney General Veronika Grieser told local publication, Bild. “It can be assumed that the suspect wanted to go into hiding, due to internal disputes with her family, and fake her own death.”

Investigators claim that sometime last summer, Sharaban K. used Instagram to connect with beauty blogger Khadidja O. and communicate with her about cosmetics.
She allegedly offered the victim a set of cosmetics to lure her into a meeting.
Sharaban K. informed her parents that she would be travelling to Munich to see her ex-husband on the day of the crime. Instead, she allegedly picked up Khadidja O. in a Mercedes with her lover Sheqir K.
Investigators think they made a turn into a woodland at some point, where Khadidja O. was stabbed more than 50 times. She was unable to be recognised because of the terrible injuries on her face.
The Mercedes was then allegedly parked where it would be easy to find by Sharaban K. and Sheqir K.
After discovering that the victim was not Sharaban K. as they had previously believed, the police were perplexed. They then looked into her social media interactions and discovered that she had communicated with numerous lookalikes. They came up with the notion that she had killed one of the women in a desperate attempt to kill herself.
Then Sharaban K. was located and taken into custody. She was formally charged with murder this week and might spend the rest of her life in prison if found guilty.
Sheqir K. is also facing jail time after being charged as an accomplice.
Police spokesman Andreas Aichele told Bild: “The murder weapon has still not been found but the burden of proof is overwhelming.”
“The victim was killed with more than 50 stab wounds and her face was badly injured. That was brutal in the extreme,” he added.
“It was an extraordinary case that required all the investigators’ skills. We don’t have a case like this every day, especially with such a spectacular twist. On the day we found the body, we did not expect it to develop like this.”
