Talented Slovakian actress Katarina Pavelek, well-known for her roles in several TV shows, tragically perished after choosing assisted suicide in Liestal, Switzerland. Her declining health, which she blamed on difficulties from a Covid-19 booster shot she had gotten, served as motivation for her decision.
Pavelek’s health noticeably deteriorated after obtaining the booster dose. She was identified as having the neurological condition myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS), which is incurable and significantly impairs daily activities.
She was also thought to have respiratory ALS, a neurological condition that impairs the muscles involved in swallowing and breathing.
Pavelek made the terrible decision to end her life after experiencing the crippling effects of her ailments. She recounted her problems and the irrevocable loss of her health in an emotive Instagram post, attributing it to the booster shot. Pavelek thanked her supporters for their friendship and support during her fight.
