Haven Hughes received a BA in Mass Communications and Media Studies from Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, in 2022.
She worked as a news anchor for Henderson Television and wrote for the university’s online publication, The Oracle, among other media sources until she passed away.
For her blossoming abilities in journalism, Hughes won a plethora of prizes and scholarships, including an Award of Excellence for “On-Air Personality.”
In August 2022, she started working at Little Rock’s KARK 4, an NBC affiliate.
What was Hughes’ cause of death?
Hughes died on January 16, 2023, as a result of a terrible car accident.
On Monday night, the collision involved a motorcycle in which the 22-year-old was a passenger.
Hughes was declared dead at the scene, per KATV.
The authorities are investigating the event.

In a statement about Hughes’ passing that was published on January 17, KARK referred to her as a “bright, brilliant light” in the newsroom.
