In a collision that also wounded her two kids and nephew, a pregnant woman was left struggling for her life and tragically passed away in the hospital.
On Saturday, Frankie Hough, 38, was traveling on the M66 with her two children, ages nine and two, as well as her nephew.
She was taken urgently to the hospital and unfortunately passed away today.
Her oldest son and nephew are still being treated in intensive care while in induced comas.
Three counts of seriously injuring another person while driving recklessly have been brought against Adil Iqbal, a 22-year-old from Accrington.
Today when he appeared in court, it was revealed that Frankie, who was expecting a baby girl, had unfortunately gone unexpectedly.
Iqbal, a boxing club employee, talked simply to confirm his name, birthdate, and residence.
He was kept in jail and ordered to show up in court on June 19 at Minshull Street Crown Court.
On Saturday afternoon, reports of a collision involving two southbound vehicles on the M66 in Bury prompted police to respond.
Following the catastrophe, friends started a GoFundMe page to help the family.
More than £18,000 has already been raised for the campaign.
Since the terrible news of Frankie’s passing spread, tributes have started pouring in for her.

“Life can be horribly cruel – a beautiful soul, friend, sister, daughter, Mamma & Mamma-to-be taken way too soon and in the most tragic way! I’m heartbroken and filled with so many ‘ifs and buts’.”
