Who was Eunice Dwumfour?
Since November 2021, Eunice Dwumfour has served the Borough of Sayreville and is well known for her political career. Not until 2024 was she up for reelection.
According to her LinkedIn page, she has held positions outside of politics including director of churches at the Nigeria-based Champions Royal Assembly and professional scrum master and business analyst at Fire Congress Fellowship Inc.
She also worked as a volunteer EMT.
William Paterson University awarded Dwumfour a bachelor’s degree in women’s studies in 2017.
What was Eunice Dwumfour’s cause of death?
On February 1, 2023, Dwumfour was discovered dead in her white Nissan SUV outside of her Camelot at La Mer apartment complex in Sayreville, New Jersey.
She was discovered with multiple gunshot wounds, according to police sources who spoke to ABC 7. It is unclear why she was shot, but police believe she was the intended target. At the scene, she was pronounced deceased.
In a joint statement, detective Juan Rodriguez and Pastor Doctor Nelia Rodriguez said, “She was an excellent friend, a woman who loved God.”
“I can’t help but cry. She was 30 years old and brimming with life. I will miss you terribly, my beautiful friend. RIP, my dear.”
Community activist Charlie Kratovil noted that he “known her to be a very compassionate person and public worker” and that her passing was a “major loss for the Sayreville community.”
As of right now, no one has been taken into custody in relation to her passing.
