After the Netflix documentary Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story debuted, the world was shocked to see how a serial killer was able to get away with 17 homicides.
Here is what we know about Ernest Miller, who was a victim of one of those killings.
Who was Ernest Miller?
Ernest Miller, also known as Ronald Marquez Miller was hoping to become a professional dancer when he was murdered at 22 years old.
Following his graduation from Milwaukee High School of the Arts at West Division, he worked for a while.
Before his life ended, Miller was set to begin taking classes at a Chicago arts college.
Vivian Miller, his aunt, talked about his abilities and upbringing.
She said: “He was a talented dancer.
“He was singing and performing when he was young and used to sing at church.”
He said: “There is no place in a civilised society for anyone who shows no regard for life.
“I’m not for the death penalty, but you are the perfect candidate.”
What Ernest Miller was killed?
Ernest Miller and Jeffrey Dahmer met in front of a bookshop on North 27th Street.
Over Labor Day weekend, Miller travelled to Milwaukee to see his aunt.
Miller was asked back to Dahmer’s flat and given the option of paying for sex.
Following Miller, Dahmer poisoned the 22-year-old before slitting his throat.
Dahmer unsettlingly painted his head, bleached his skeleton, and stored his biceps in the freezer.
