Later, the reporter was revealed to be Orlando, Florida native Dylan Lyons, 24.

The Spectrum News 13 team included Dylan Lyons as a news reporter.
He started working for the station in July 2022 and was frequently spotted reporting in the Central Florida region.
His biography states that before joining Spectrum News 13, he anchored for ABC affiliate WCJB TV20 after earning a degree in journalism and political science from the University of Central Florida.
He has received numerous awards for his work since the beginning of his career.
He received the Florida Association of Broadcast Journalists’ best “Politics/Elections Series” award in 2020, and the following year he also made the finals for investigative reporting.
According to his bio, he frequently spent his free time with his family and cherished dog exploring the Orlando region.

Lyons and photographer Jesse Walden were on the scene in Pine Hills on February 22, 2023, covering the murder of Nathacha Augustin, 38, who had been discovered shot dead that morning.
Sheriff John Mina told NBC News that while there, 19-year-old Keith Melvin Moses, the woman’s murder suspect, went back to the scene and started shooting.
Lyons was killed in the shooting, and Walden is in critical condition.
“We are deeply saddened by the loss of our colleague and the other lives senselessly taken today,” Spectrum News said in a statement.
“We remain hopeful that our other colleague who was injured makes a full recovery.”
According to the Orange Country Sheriff’s Office, Moses, who has a lengthy criminal history, is also the suspect in the shooting of a nine-year-old girl and has since been taken into custody.
