
David Algarin Jr., a suspect who was allegedly connected to two separate shooting incidents in Sturgis, has been pronounced dead.
Authorities in St. Joseph County, Michigan are currently investigating two shootings that might be connected.
David Algarin, Jr., who was he?
The age of David Algarin Jr. was thirty. According to the Sturgis Department of Public Safety, officers responded to a shooting incident on Saturday just before 10:45 p.m. at South Street and S. Centerville Road.
A 39-year-old Sturgis woman who had been hurt was discovered and taken to the hospital right away. She succumbed to her injuries later at the hospital. In an effort to catch the criminal and discover any connections between the two shooting incidents, law enforcement is still looking into the matter.
According to the report, after the initial investigation, deputies from the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Office were asked to assist with the case. They were successful in identifying David Algarin, Jr., 30, the shooting suspect.
Deputies next went looking for Algarin outside the city limits at a residence near Carls Road on US-12. They were shocked to discover a second victim, a 61-year-old man who had also been shot to death, at the scene.
As the case evolved into a double shooting investigation, authorities conducted a thorough search for the suspect, David Algarin, Jr., while also carrying out ongoing information gathering to piece together the series of events that led to these horrific incidents.
The police believe there may be a connection between the two shooting incidents. The suspect, David Algarin Jr., is suspected of being involved in both incidents.
Law enforcement officials made public Algarin’s last known location as part of their ongoing search for him. A black 1999 Honda CR-V with the Michigan license plate BUS661 served as his last known mode of transportation.
