Dan Cerrillo, a former Navy SEAL known as Spartan7adventr, died on March 25, 2023, according to his daughter. “He had a heart attack while running a shooting range,” Taylor Cerrillo wrote on Instagram. “I will do everything in my power to carry on his dreams, legacy, and desire to save our heroes,” she said.
Cerrillo’s family includes his daughter Taylor, son Kellan, and wife Leilani. Friends, colleagues, and admirers have paid tribute to him, remembering him for his bravery, dedication, and unwavering commitment to serving others.
Who was Dan Cerrillo?
Dan Cerrillo served as a Navy SEAL from 1993 to 2005. He graduated with the BUD/S Class of 194. Cerrillo worked as an operator and instructor for SEAL Team One. During his time with the Navy SEALs, he completed three deployments, including missions related to Operation Enduring and Iraqi Freedom.
In 1998, he became a member of the Naval Special Warfare Center/Special Operations instructor staff.
Cerrillo was a founding member of the Navy SEAL Fund’s Board of Directors, which provides emergency assistance to SEALs and their families. He was the Navy SEAL Foundation’s Tennessee Ambassador, dedicated to providing support and assistance to the special operations community.
He was a member of the Board of Directors of the Navy SEALs Fund until his death.
Cerillo founded Spartan 7 Adventure in July 2016. The company provides realistic SEAL adventures to clients. Three years later, the venture become Spartan 7 Inc.
