He was only 17 years old and lived with his grandma when he passed away.
Curtis was remembered by those who knew him as a bright, energetic lad with the world at his disposal.
He had intended to become a model and complete college after losing his work as a nursing assistant.
But on February 18, 1991, he met serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer, cruelly ending his life.
What happened to Curtis Straughter?
On February 18, 1991, Dahmer approached Curtis while he was waiting at a bus stop in front of Marquette University.
Straughter was unaware that Dahmer had just slain and dismembered nine boys and men.
According to reports, Straughter was enticed to Dahmer’s flat under the promise of payment in exchange for posing for pictures.
When Straughter got to Dahmer’s residence, he was drugged, handcuffed, and killed.
Then, as he cut his body apart, Dahmer recorded each move on camera.
Dahmer stored the Polaroid photos of his victims’ bodies in his bedside table as a gruesome keepsake.
Straughter was Dahmer’s 10th victim.
