JEFFREY DAHMER killed 17 young men between 1978 and 1991.
In March 1989, he killed Anthony Sears, his fifth victim.
Who was Anthony Sears?
At the time of his murder by Jeffrey Dahmer in March 1989, Anthony Sears was 24 years old.
Prior to his passing, he had been given a promotion to manager at a Baker’s Square in Milwaukee.
His mother, Marilyn, revealed that Sears did not show up for the celebratory meal that his family had planned in honour of his promotion.
His mother said: “He never showed up, so I figured he just went out to celebrate with his friends.”
In order to move away from Milwaukee, Sears was conserving money with the goal of becoming a model.
Marilyn added that her son had expressed a desire to wed his girlfriend as soon as he had the funds.
What happened to Anthony Sears?
Sears was last seen on March 25, 1989.
He met Dahmer at the Milwaukee gay club, La Cage, and decided to go back with him to his grandmother’s house.
In addition to reminding Sears that he had a family dinner the following day, Sears’ friend Jeffrey Connor drove the two of them home.
If Connor needed a ride home, his pal was to phone him, but Sears was never heard from again.
He was not reported missing until four weeks later, according to his mother, who explained that it was common for him to run away with his pals for days at a time.
According to reports, Dahmer thought Sears was “exceptionally handsome,” and as a grisly trophy, he kept the victim’s skull and genitalia in his apartment.
How did Jeffrey Dahmer die?
On November 28, 1994, Christopher Scarver, a fellow prisoner at Columbia Correctional Institution, killed Jeffrey Dahmer.
