A “wonderful” mother who passed away after being hit by a car has been remembered by heartbroken family and friends.
Walking in the early hours of Saturday morning, Anna Llewelyn Roberts was killed in a collision.
On August 20, at around 2:00 a.m., the 27-year-old was tragically killed when she was struck by a black Ford Focus Estate.
In order to better understand how she died, police have urgently appealed for witnesses and are currently searching furiously for the driver.
Days after the horrific accident, Anna’s family has posted a photo and paid an emotional homage to her.
Her small daughter Erin is the only survivor.
The heartbreaking statement read: “Anna was a special partner, mum, daughter, sister, grand-daughter and friend.
“She was so proud of her young daughter Erin and she was her world.
“Her loving boyfriend Iwan, her family and her colleagues at Rondo Media were all that mattered to her.
“There are no words, no emotions that convey our loss, our lives will never be the same without Anna.”
Online users expressed their sympathies for the young woman’s family in a flood of comments.
The news of the awful loss was described as “heartbreaking,” “horrific,” “terribly sad,” and “tragic” by commenters.
Police are still looking into the matter.
They verified that Anna was a pedestrian on the A499 in the northwestern Welsh settlement of Y Ffôr at the time of the collision.
They are currently looking for information on a black Ford Focus Estate that was heading in the direction of Pwllheli.
The Roads Policing Unit’s Sergeant Emlyn Hughes is pleading with any witnesses or people with information to come forward.
Our sincere sympathies are with Anna’s family during this trying time, he said.
“We are requesting anyone who may have seen the collision but hasn’t gotten in touch with us, or anyone who may have been driving nearby and may have dashcam footage, to contact us as soon as possible to help with our continuing investigation,” the statement reads.
