Following a report of Amy Mihaljevic’s disappearance from her family to the police, a MISSING PERSONS investigation was launched.
The 10-year-old girl was last observed alive at the mall in her community.

Amy Mihaljevic, a fifth-grade student from Bay Village, Ohio, was 10 years old.
Amy disappeared on October 27, 1989, after her parents Margaret and Mark noticed she hadn’t returned from school.
She was last seen on Friday with an unknown male at the Village Square shopping mall.
Witnesses reported that the man looked to be in his mid-30s.
After he pretended to be a coworker of her mother Margaret’s who wanted to get her a gift to celebrate her promotion, she met with the man.
Police have asserted that the scenario was a ploy to entice girls away from the area.
The police found out that two of Amy’s classmates had received a call from a man who had attempted to present the same scenario unsuccessfully.
According to Amy’s father Mark, “Somebody knew what was going on inside the house.”
“It’s safe to say that someone knew more than a passing motorist.
“It’s unfortunate that someone has enjoyed 27 years of freedom when they really don’t deserve it.
“The populace is still fighting. They haven’t given up; a solution will be found.
Amy was found when?
Amy’s body was discovered in Ashland, Ohio, on February 8, 1990.
According to an autopsy report, she was stabbed in the neck and hit in the back of the head with a blunt object.
Mark Mihaljevic recalled the tragedy of that day to WKYC, saying: “I can remember the day they had found Amy and everyone had met at the house.
You can never be ready for a situation like that. You really think you are, but you never really prepare for that, in my opinion.
I only hope I live long enough to witness its conclusion because it is inevitable.
