INVESTIGATION On February 13, 2023, Discovery’s Death by Fame will examine a terrifying case.
Adea Shabani’s murder shocked everyone in Los Angeles and around the world.
Who was Adea Shabani?
On March 16, 1992, Adea Shabani, a native of Macedonia, was born.
The California-based 25-year-old was an aspiring actress and model.
Before her passing, she was enrolled in classes at the Stella Adler Academy of Acting & Theater.
According to her IMDb, Shabani had roles in a couple 2017 movies, including Stuck in the 80s and All or Nothing.
Christopher Spotz and Shabani were dating before she vanished.
According to the New York Times, the two were said to have gotten into an altercation on February 23, 2018, and Spotz claimed to have dropped Shabani off in Santa Clarita, which is roughly 25 miles from her apartment.
However, Spotz caught the attention of the authorities since he was dating Shabani while also being engaged to another woman.
According to private investigator Jayden Brant, “it appeared to be the case quite early on that there was foul play involved in this case and that it was likely a homicide.”
Police in San Bernardino, California, pursued Spotz for 60 miles a month after she vanished.
In his Toyota Tacoma, which he had also driven when Shabani vanished in February, he made an effort to avoid them.
Spotz shot himself in the head just prior to being apprehended.
In February 2018, a few weeks before her 26th birthday, Shabani vanished.
According to the BBC, her remains was discovered in a little cemetery in Northern California in May 2018.
She had suffered blunt force head trauma, according to an autopsy.
Although Shabani’s murder was investigated as a homicide, no one was brought to justice.
