Since he was six years old, he had said in his biography for the South Buffalo Springs Hospital, he had wanted to be a veterinarian. He chose a particular career after losing his beloved pet cat. His desire to heal every sick or hurt animal led him to become a veterinarian.
Bivens pursued veterinary medicine studies at Tuskegee University. He participated in baseball while he was a student there. After graduating, he was given the ACVIM Clinical Excellence Award and the AAHA Small Animal Medicine Achievement Award.
His love of animals and pets is evident in his Instagram posts. He has showcased his adorable little patients in many posts. The well-known veterinarian had more than 12,000 followers on Instagram. He also imparted his knowledge of pets and how to care for them through his videos. The doctor had two English Bulldogs, named Chubbs and Slim.
