On the ice, Vladimir Tarasenko is forceful, in your face, and unafraid of conflict.
When he first met Yana, his wife and the love of his life, the barnstorming Russian was anything but that. Contrary to the cliché romance narrative, the couple initially met while they were with some of their common acquaintances, thus it wasn’t love at first sight.
Poor Tarasenko desperately wanted to make his shot, but he first struggled to get over the butterflies in his stomach. After their unpleasant meeting over ten years ago, the couple, who are now married, relocated to New York City.
From the St. Louis Blues to the New York Rangers, Tarasenko was traded. The NHL was completely taken aback by the all-star player’s remarkable coup in February, and their fans couldn’t wait to get started on the remainder of the season.
You could also see his beloved Yara standing by the sides of the ice, wearing a Rangers shirt. The chance to attend a Raiders game with a Maxim model is not something that occurs frequently, so their supporters should at least hope that they do.
According to Tarasenko’s account to ESPN, he and Yara first connected while the two were out with mutual friends at a karaoke club. “We met at a karaoke bar,” Tarasenko said.
“Nobody sang. I was too shy to talk to her, so needed to relax a little, so we go there.” Fortunately, he did eventually muster up the courage to speak to her.
Aleksandr and Artem, the second of the couple’s boys, were born in the same year Tarasenko won the Stanley Cup with the Blues after the couple’s 2015 marriage.
Model Yana has been on the covers of publications including Maxim and Grazia. She has 70,000 followers on Instagram, where she often posts images from some of her bawdy photoshoots.
