Who is Twitch streamer Shelao?
Cristóbal Andrés lvarez Leiva, better known as Shelao, is a Chilean Twitch streamer.
He was born in Concepción in 1992 and grew up doing boxing and mixed martial arts.
Shelao was crowned Mister Chile in 2014, before becoming the first Chilean to be crowned Mister Real Universe in 2015.
In Bangkok, Thailand, the model and streamer was one of thirteen finalists for Mister Global 2015.
Shelao and his ex-girlfriend ngela Duarte were both contestants on the Chilean reality TV show Doble Tentación in 2017.
Couples were required to pass several sexual prowess tests while under the influence of alcohol on the show.
ngela and Shelao were the fifth and final couple eliminated from the competition.
How did Shelao become famous?
Shelao rose to prominence on Twitch by streaming Minecraft and League of Legends.
In 2017, he joined the channel.
He is good friends with Argentine Twitch broadcaster Coscu, who has referred to Shelao as his “brother.”
Shelao also has a YouTube account with over 193,000 subscribers.
The influencer also has 157.5k TikTok followers, with some of his videos receiving over one million views.

The Chilean has also competed in boxing matches against other Twitch streamers.
Shelao was scheduled to face the Spanish streamer Viruzz in a fight staged by Ibai Llanos in June 2023.
After Viruzz withdrew for medical reasons, he fought Bulgarian streamer and model Misho Amoli instead.
He defeated Amoli in twenty seconds after the Bulgarian’s shoulder dislocated.

It is unknown whether Shelao is now dating anyone, having broken up with ngela following the competition.
