When Tom Stoltman became the first Scot to win the World’s Strongest Man title, he created history.

Here, we examine “The Albatross'” personal and professional history.

Tom Stoltman, who?

”The Albatross” Tom Stoltman was born in the Scottish Highlands in 1994 in Invergordon.

He is a professional strongman competitor from the United Kingdom and has won the World’s Strongest Man title twice in a row.

Stoltman was given an autism diagnosis when he was five years old. He has previously spoken out about the diagnosis and described it as “just a hurdle.”

Early on, Tom was an avid sportsman, and when his brother Luke became Scotland’s Strongest Man at the age of 16, he encouraged Tom to start weight training at the neighborhood gym.

Tom’s potential began to emerge after a year, and Luke decided to take him under his wing and mentor him as he underwent strongman training.

As a result of Luke’s guidance, Tom went on to become one of the most accomplished British athletes in the sport’s history.

When he was younger, he admitted to the Sunday Post, “I used to watch World’s Strongest Man on TV, but I was more interested in football.

“When I was 16 years old, I started going to the gym with some friends, but it was just for fun and nothing major.”

“When I was 17, Luke took me under his wing and promised that we would take it seriously.”

“When I saw Luke participating in his first Scotland’s Strongest Man competition, I got excited and decided to try it.

“There was a gym with all the equipment a half-hour drive from where we live. I became engrossed and adored it.

At the age of 18, Tom entered his first competition, winning the title of Highlands Strongest Man. But that was just the start of his success.

He also holds several world records, including the heaviest Atlas Stone ever lifted at 630 pounds and the lightest set of Castle Stones (220 to 396 pounds) according to Giants Live.

Stoltman enjoys watching his favored Rangers FC when he isn’t competing.

The strongman has been fortunate not only in business but also in love.

Tom Stoltman attained the title of Strongest Man in the World when?

Only ten people have ever won the competition’s championship twice, and Stoltman is one of them. He defeated competitors Martins Licis and Brian Shaw to win the title twice, first in 2021 and then in 2022.

Tom wanted to become the seventh person in history to hold the title of World’s Strongest Man at least three times by the year 2023.

Stoltman was forced to settle for second place after Mitchell Hooper won the championship for the first time in his career.

Who is Luke Stoltman, Tom’s brother?

Luke ”The Highland Oak” Stoltman is the oldest of the Stoltman brothers and was born in Invergordon in 1984.

He is the smaller of the two at 6’3″ and 353 pounds, but this hasn’t stopped him from building a successful career.

Luke initially trained as a bodybuilder but later developed a stronger interest. He entered and won his first competition at the age of 27 in a local deadlift competition in 2011.

This prompted him to compete in the Highlands Strongest Man in 2012, where he once again won.

Luke later won Scotland’s Strongest Man (five times), the Giants Live World Tour Finals, and Europe’s Strongest Man.

He has also participated in eight World’s Strongest Man competitions, four of which saw him make it to the final.

The pair also has a YouTube channel called @StoltmanBrothers, where they address their 228K subscribers as “The World’s Strongest Brothers.”

According to their website, they also operate the Stoltman Strength Academy, an online coaching service.
