Terran Green, 34, is wanted by law enforcement agencies from all over the state on suspicion of shooting a Harris County Sheriff’s Office deputy during a traffic stop on Wednesday night.
As of Thursday afternoon, Deputy Joseph Anderson, 29, was recovering well. Ed Gonzalez, the sheriff of Harris County, claimed to have received at least two gunshot wounds and to have undergone surgery soon after.
Terran Green: Who is he?
Being of Black descent, Terran Green is described as being 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighing about 180 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. He was wearing a black pair of shorts and a grey shirt at the time of the incident.
Around three hours after the incident, Terran Green received a Blue Alert; shortly before two in the morning, James Green was added. James Green was later found not guilty. Blue alerts are used to help find people who are suspected of harming or killing members of the federal, state, or local law enforcement community.
If anyone has any information about Terran Green’s whereabouts, they are urged to contact Crime Stoppers, a division of the Houston Police Department’s Harris County Sheriff’s Office. In this case, a number of organizations have declared financial rewards. Up to $45,000 is offered as compensation for information that leads to Terran Green’s capture.
Terran Green has not been found, unlike his older brother, who was interrogated before being released. James Green, 37, claimed that while driving with his brother, he shot Anderson. His initial listing as a suspect was later changed to reflect the fact that he was only a passenger.
James Green spoke with KHOU 11 News reporter Anayeli Ruiz after being cleared. He didn’t say where his brother was, but he did say they were out doing errands when the incident happened. He claimed that he was taking medication because he had been shot a few weeks earlier.
On Thursday morning, allegedly, police searched James Green’s house. He stated that they had him in for questioning before releasing him. He is not facing charges.
Initially believed to have been lost, the vehicle Terran Green was operating at the time of the shooting was eventually located at an apartment complex on West Airtex Boulevard, just north of the Beltway and a little to the west of the North Motorway.
Terran Green had a long criminal history and an active arrest warrant when he started shooting at Anderson, according to Crime Stoppers’ Andy Kahan. According to Kahan, it might be one of the reasons the constable was shot.
Terran Green has a criminal history from 2007. He was charged with theft, drug possession, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and eluding arrest, according to the documents. He was detained at least three times. The reason for the active arrest warrant was his inability to show up for court.
Kahan expressed his desire for a higher bond or for Terran Green to not be released on bond.
