After creating a name for herself as a top sports reporter in Las Vegas, STORMY Buonantony has been projected to hit the professional jackpot.
Stormy earned her name as a rink-side reporter for the NHL’s Vegas Golden Knights before becoming a major anchor for the Las Vegas-based sports betting network VSiN.
Stormy has since broken into the mainstream as an ESPN college football and XFL sideline reporter for the past three years.
Stormy has been characterized as “amazing”, “fabulous looking”, and “one of the best in the business” by fans on Instagram.
Stormy’s odd first name was given to her by her parents after she was born during a July rainfall.
Her father, Richard, is a former minor league baseball player, and her mother, Cheri Shipp, is a well-known gymnastics instructor.
Meanwhile, her grandpa Lucien was a well-known Las Vegas handicapper who set the betting lines for baseball, football, and basketball games, as well as championship bouts for the majority of the casinos.
Stormy’s parents pushed her to participate in sports, and she excelled in bowling, rolling a 200 game when she was nine and a 300 game when she was thirteen.
She even won her first wager when she was nine years old, when her father challenged Stormy to a game of bowling and immediately beat him with a score of 150.
“We had a bet that if I beat him at bowling, he’d pay me $100,” she explained to CDC Gaming Reports.
Stormy began her broadcast career as a digital reporter for the Mountain West Conference after graduating from San Diego State University with a degree in print journalism.
She subsequently spent two seasons as an in-stadium emcee and team reporter for the Carolina Panthers before returning to Las Vegas in 2019 to cover the Golden Knights for AT&T SportsNet.
In addition to ESPN’s SEC Network, Raycom Sports, and the NBC News Channel, she has a diverse portfolio.
She landed the post of host of VSiN’s main show My Guys in the Desert in September 2021 after freelancing for the network.
Stormy is engaged to Cristopher Normandt, a soldier who served in the United States Army and is now a mortgage advisor.
The couple is set to marry in August.
“She knows her stuff and is just an incredibly talented broadcaster,” VSiN CEO Brent Musburger noted.
“I think that the kind of content that Stormy creates works across every platform, and her personality allows her to be an outstanding television host or radio host.”
Stormy believes her background in betting helped her immensely in the high-profile role.
“I think I have a different perspective on (sports betting) because I’ve been around it forever,” she said.
