Shylah Rodden has been named as the woman who was critically injured after being hit by a rollercoaster at the Melbourne Royal Show on Sunday.
The mother of Rodden revealed her identify to The Age on Monday and stated that her daughter was still in the hospital.
According to Victoria Police, the 26-year-old was struck at the concert as she apparently reached for a phone on the Rebel Coaster rails at around 5.45 p.m. on Sunday.
At 5.30 p.m. on Monday, a hospital representative reported that Rodden’s status at the Royal Melbourne Hospital is still critical.
