Séamus Gray, a 21-YEAR-OLD Navy sailor, vanished in March 2023 while stationed at the Great Lakes Naval Station in the greater Chicago area.
His family and the police are now pleading with the public for assistance in locating him after he failed to return following a night out.
Who is Séamus Gray?
The age is 21. Séamus Gray is from Jupiter, Florida.
Assigned to the station’s Surface Warfare Engineering School Command, he is a US Navy Fireman Recruit.
At a news conference on March 23, 2023, Séamus’ mother, Kerry Rodier Gray, reportedly said that he lives for “his family, God, and his nation.”
She continued by saying that she and Seamus spoke “no less than ten times a day” prior to his abduction.
When did Séamus Gray go missing?
On St. Patrick’s Day, March 17, 2023, Séamus Gray went out for drinks with pals but did not arrive home before curfew.
He is said to have left the Ibiza Bar in Waukegan, Illinois, just before disappearing.
The Coast Guard, local law enforcement, fire departments, and Navy officials have all tirelessly looked for the missing Navy recruit.
On March 23, the Chicago Police Department made a surveillance camera video public in an effort to bring attention to his abduction.
Séamus was seen in his final video moving a few feet from the water in Waukegan Harbor.
Police Deputy Chief Brian Mullen stated that on Friday, they will concentrate on the ocean as well as the area around and around the Naval base.
In an interview with CBS, Kerry Gray revealed that there is video evidence of someone attempting to “pickpocket her son” the night he was out, which resulted in a fight with a group of individuals.
The proprietor of the tavern where Seamus was that evening backed up this account.
Mullen stated: “We’re aware of the video outside of the bar – and our investigators are working with NCIS to help identify people who might be on that video.”
