According to ESPN, a rock climbing mishap claimed the life of former NFL star Gavin Escobar at the age of 31. He is survived by his wife Sarah and their two young daughters.
After leaving football in 2018, the former Dallas Cowboys tight end got employed as a firefighter in Long Beach, California.

According to ESPN, Gavin Escobar was discovered dead after a rock climbing mishap close to Idyllwild, California.
Firefighters were called to a climbing accident involving two climbers in the San Bernardino National Forest, close to Tahquitz Rock. Chelsea Walsh, age 33, has been identified as the other climber.
According to the authorities, Gavin and Chelsea perished while scaling a “rock face.”
Gavin attended Santa Margarita High School before attending and graduating from San Diego State University. After being selected in the second round of the 2013 Draft, he played for the Dallas Cowboys for three seasons.

NFL STAR SURVIVED BY WIFE SARAH AND TWO CHILDREN
Sarah Escobar, the former Dallas Cowboys player’s wife, and their two small children are still alive.
Sarah, who goes by the name Sarah, has a Kansas City, Missouri address but is originally from Rancho Santa Margarita, California, according to a Facebook profile.
Sarah is a former member of the San Diego State Women’s Soccer team and played college soccer there.
Since February 2022, Gavin has been a firefighter in Long Beach, California, where he was assigned to Fire Station 3 on B-Shift.
