After writing last week that Trump is primarily holed up at his Mar-a-Lago resort, and even quoted an insider as stating “the magic is gone,” former president Donald Trump slammed New York Magazine reporter Olivia Nuzzi as a “unattractive nut job” late Monday.
Jared Kushner, who served as a special adviser in the Trump administration alongside his wife, Ivanka Trump, was also mentioned by Nuzzi as having disregarded his father-in-cries law’s for assistance and “public support” after the 76-year-old Trump dined at Mar-a-Lago with the anti-Semitic rapper Kanye West and the white nationalist Nick Fuentes.
Trump lamented the “Fake & Corrupt News is only getting worse” in a post on his Truth Social social media network.
The former president claimed he agreed to give New York a “brief interview,” describing it as being on its “last legs.”
“The reporter was a wobbly and ugly wack job who really wrote a decent story about me years ago. He was renowned as ‘tough,’ but dumb as a rock. She goes by Olivia Nuzzi. Regardless, the report was false; her “anonymous sources” didn’t exist, which is true for many writers, Trump claimed.
Since announcing on November 15 that he will be running for president a third time, the 45th president has not left his two Florida resorts, Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach and Trump National Doral Miami, according to Nuzzi.
“He just goes, plays golf, comes back and f–ks off. He has retreated to the golf course and to Mar-a-Lago,” Nuzzi quoted one source as saying. “His world has gotten much smaller. His world is so, so small.”
In another post on Truth Social, Trump said “contrary to ‘Fake News reporting,’” he never asked his daughter or son-in-law to be part of the 2024 campaign so they wouldn’t have to “deal with some absolutely horrendous SleazeBags in the world of politics, and beyond.”
