Along with her Norwegian boyfriend, MIKAELA Shiffrin makes up one half of the “power couple” in skiing.
The American alpine skier received encouragement from her coworker who also works in the same field as her as she made an incredible accomplishment.
This week, Mikaela, 27, surpassed all other skiers in terms of awards.
She surpassed Ingemar Stenmark’s previous mark for the most World Cup victories by a skier.
Aleksander Aamodt Kilde, her partner, was the one who was most proud of her.
Fans have dubbed the couple “the cutest couple on planet.”
Another fan noted: “To see Mikaela that happy makes me smile even ore.
And one more said: “What a power couple, awesome.”
Kilde, 30, a competitor in the downhill and Super G, was born in Norway.
With Mikaela’s help, he took home two medals from the Beijing Winter Olympics in 2022—a silver and a bronze.
According to sources, Mikaela originally rejected the Norwegian when the two first met in 2017.
They remained close friends, though, and Kilde re-contacted them in 2020, the report said.
They discussed their relationship with the Olympics website in an interview.
Kilde said: “We are having good conversations and we are there for each other.
“We support each other on good days and bad days like couples do, like partners do for each other. We’re not any different.
“The only difference is that we are public people and people are watching a little bit more what we’re doing or not.
“So we are quite open about it because we don’t get too many questions about how things are running and how things are, because you see it right away and we can control it 100 per cent ourselves.
“We don’t need to be scared about rumours, about things we don’t want to get out there as we can control 100 per cent of them.
“That’s – for both of us – really, really nice, actually.”
