The news was revealed by her daughter, McKenna Kelley, on Instagram.
“Please help my mom continue to fight,” Kelley said in her post, which included a link to a SpotFund account that was made to help with medical costs, according to TMZ Sports.
“Out of respect for her and her privacy, I will not disclose all details,” Kelley added.
“However, I will disclose that she is not insured.
“We ask that if you could help in any way, that 1) you PRAY! and 2) if you could help us with finances for the hospital bill.”
Not much is known about Retton’s condition, but she is reportedly battling a rare form of pneumonia.
