The Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) has him rated eighth in the world.
Sinner was born on August 16, 2001 in San Candido, Italy, and presently resides in Monte-Carlo.
He has seven ATP Tour victories, with his first coming in Sofia in 2020.
He added a second in Melbourne at the start of 2021.
In Miami, he also reached his first Masters 1000 final, when he was defeated by Hubert Hurkacz.
Sinner won three more victories in 2021, at Washington, Sofia (for the second time), and Antwerp.
He will win his sixth title in Umag in 2022.

Braccini is a social media influencer and model.
They started dating in September 2020 but broke up in 2021 before getting back together the following year.
Jannik revealed in one of his interviews that the duo are both focused on their jobs and supportive of one another.
He said: “Maria is very tender and affectionate, but also very independent and this is the quality that strikes me the most.
“She has tuned in to my needs, she knows that my priority is to sport, especially now because I’m just starting out and I still have to learn everything to become a champion.”
His father was the one who persuaded him to return to tennis after a year away.
Sinner’s father believed he had a career in tennis and encouraged him to practice.
