After uploading a rap-style campaign ad video to support her candidacy, Utah Republican candidate Linda Paulson recently found herself trending on Twitter.
In the video, the woman introduces herself while rapping and dancing in front of an American flag. Paulson’s booming introduction to the clip is as follows:
“Hey Utah district 12, listen upright here, there’s a new name on the ballot for the Senate this year.”
She continues:
“My name is Linda Paulson – Republican and awesome! Love God, and family, and the Constitution.”

Further in the video, Paulson shares that she is “pro-religious freedom, pro-life, pro-police, the right to bear arms and the right to free speech.”
She also mentions that she wants “less government control and regulation” and wishes to “stop and expose police corruption.”
Paulson keeps using words like “morality,” “integrity,” “accountability,” and “self-sufficiency” throughout the tape. Near the end of the video, she also made fun of Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson and appeared to criticise the trans community by saying:
“If you share my values, if you like what I stand for, then give me your vote on the 8th of November. District 12 needs a choice. Let me be your voice.”

Following the release of the video, Utah GOP candidate Linda Paulson came under Twitter satire for producing a rap-style video ad to advance her campaign.
The video quickly became popular online and had millions of views on YouTube before being widely shared on other social media sites. The clip was also met with funny comments from online users and a flood of memes:

Who is Linda Paulson?
Republican candidate Linda Paulson is vying for the seat of District 12 in the Utah State Senate. Paulson is now listed on the ballot for the general election on November 8, 2022, despite the fact that the Republican primary for the position was called off on June 28, 2022.
The politician apparently hails from Cedar City and graduated from Brigham Young University with a bachelor’s degree in 2007. She previously belonged to the United Women’s Forum and the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers.
