Ethan Slater has filed for divorce from Lilly Jay, his wife of four years with whom he has a son. Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater recently began dating. According to the report, Slater will undoubtedly divorce his wife, but he “desperately” wants to share parenting of their almost one-year-old child.
According to the report, which relied on court records as evidence, Slater reportedly filed for divorce in New York. He did not specify why he and Lilly Jay broke up.
Who is Lilly Jay?
Ethan Slater, the rumored boyfriend of Ariana Grande, is soon to be divorced from his wife Lilly Jay.
Despite their late 20s marriage, Lilly and Ethan had been close friends all through high school. In a post on Instagram in November 2022, the Drama Desk Award winner revealed that they had been dating since 2012. “My very best pal. Ten years together, four years married,” he wrote.
Six years of dating later, Lilly and Ethan tied the knot in 2018. After four years of marriage, Lilly and Ethan shared a photo of a “Wicked Cute” onesie on Instagram to announce the birth of their son in August.
Lilly and Ethan have kept their relationship largely private, but when she earned her psychology degree in December 2020, he sent her a tweet of congratulations. “My wife’s dissertation was successfully defended after nearly five years of arduous work, hundreds of hours of research, and more than 200 pages of paradigm-shifting ideas in the field of psychology. I can’t wait to introduce her at gatherings as a kiddo because I am so proud of her,” he wrote.
Lilly finally addressed the relationship between Ethan and Ariana on July 27. “The story really is about Arianna. No girl’s girl here. Lilly told Page Six, “My family is just collateral damage.
She continued, “The story is her and Dalton.” She was referring to Ariana and her ex-husband Dalton Gomez. Lily also disclosed to Page Six that being “a good mom” to the child she and Ethan share is her current top priority.
