Television actress Leila Farzad was born in London in 1983.
She was encouraged to pursue acting after seeing National Theatre shows with her aunt, but her parents insisted she first earn an Oxbridge degree.
At Worcester College, she majored in Modern Languages and earned a Bachelor of Arts in French and Italian Literature.
She continued her acting career, nevertheless, by enrolling in the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
Leila is most known for her role as Naomi Jones in the Sky Atlantic comedy-drama I Hate Suzie, which she co-starred in with Billie Piper.
